Get to know all about the family saga of the famous Princess Gloria of Thurn and Taxis and get a glimpse of the history of the city of Regensburg. "Thurn and Taxis" what does this name mean to you? Stemming from Cornello near Bergamo, the path of the family leads over Brussels and Frankfurt to Regensburg. Around the year 1500 the family founded the first European mail service. In the year of 1748 Prince Ferdinant Alexander of Thurn and Taxis was proclaimed "Principal Commissioner of the Emperor" and made the representative of the emperor at the Reichstag in Regensburg. The magnificent treasures of the royal household are still to be admired today in the castle itself and in the museum which was made our of the royal stable. The castle and the museum both offer inside views of the life at German curt during the 19th and at the beginning of the 20th of centuries.

- first day:
Hearty welcome with a glass of one of the excellent beers from the renowned brewery Thurn and Taxis. Elegant three course dinner
Followed by time at your personal disposal: for example take a leisurely walk throuh the quaint, narrow streets of the city of Regensburg
- second day:
Delicious breakfast buffet with foods galore to chose from!
Visit of the royal castle and the cloister of St. Emmeram. See the official reception halls and the personal living quarters in the outer east and south wings adorned with the magnificent artifice and art of the 18th and especially the 19th century. Stop by the Marstallmuseum, a museum made out of the royal stables, which were built between the years 1829 and 1832 by Jean Babtist Metivier in the classical style.
Don’t miss the famous church of St. Emmeram.(Enjoy the ambulatory of St. Emmeram, the former Benedictine cloister, dating from the years 1170 - 1390)
Stroll through the heart of the old part of town.
